Hand-sewn karate costume

Do I have to pay for a P500 taekwondo costume only to be used for a couple of hours? Of course not, I have been brought to this world knowing the worth of money. I'm not the little girl with a golden spoon in my mouth, we have been blessed that is for sure, but my parents have work hard to make ends meet. I on the other hand have to work hard to maintain my scholarship for me to study in a private school.

So when it was my turn to be a mother, I applied what I've learned. I tried making budget, saved as much as I can, but sometimes it's better said than done. For a school program, my children would be doing a taekwondo techniques, with taekwondo costumes. What I did was, two weeks before the scheduled date I started on my project, hand sewing taekwondo costume.

I went to my nearest bakery and bought "katsia" for just P30 for 6 pieces of the fabric. I used an old long-sleeves shirt as my pattern, patiently hand-sewn each part.

Red Ribbon as belt          20.00
                                    ----------------

I have saved a total of P940.00, really BIG savings!
